Taana Abbitt, LMSW received her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2001 from Radford University, and has been licensed through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners since 2007. Taana has over 17 years of experience providing education, assessment, and interventions for a wide range of psychological and behavioral issues. Taana has worked extensively with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families.
Taana is experienced in treating people with the full spectrum of eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, emotional eating, etc.), as well as anxiety disorders and obsessive compulsive disorder, mood disorders/depression, trauma, and grief. Taana utilizes many therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Art Facilitation, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Family Therapy.
