Attached to Food NO More! Exploring Complex Trauma, Unmet Attachment Needs & Food
An unhealthy relationship with food doesn’t just happen. Whether excessively drawn to food since you were a child, or discovering the anesthetizing qualities of food to comfort, Self-sooth, or numb your Self as an adult, being caught in a demoralizing battle between needing food and denying food; compulsively overeating-dieting-overeating-
Thankfully, JUST as real is your ability to HEAL whatever is driving your maladaptive attachment to food!
During this 8-week educational and gentle experiential interpersonal psychotherapy group, participants will come to readily understand:
- WHAT has created your subconscious mis-use of food ~ think possible UNRESOLVED complex trauma, unmet attachment needs, detachment from body-Self, a chronic refusal to love your Self, comfort your Self, listen to your Self, respond to your Self or support your Self.
- WHY traditional Cognitive Behavior-only treatment is only 50% effective at RESOLVING disordered eating. (After the very first group you’ll say, “Of course!… this makes TOTAL sense!”)
- The 7 steps that will teach you HOW to create a healthy relationship with your Self that WILL heal your unhealthy relationship with food.
If you are struggling to embrace your Self in a manner that supports emotional and behavioral Self-care, Self-love and Self-integrity, please join this group!
In a safe and supportive, REPARATIVE environment, Dr. Julie will help you to learn how to become attuned to your body, attuned to your emotions and attuned to your Self… in a manner which frees your unsupported Self from it’s lifelong attachment to food! <3
It is never too late to start your A New Beginning, despite whatever painful early beginnings you may have experienced.
I HOPE to see you there!
