Dr. Julie’s Meaningful Morsel … Learning to Love Yourself is Not a Cliché — It’s a Necessity!

by

There are no statutes of limitation on being loved …

For the need to be cherished, valued and loved is as essential to our emotional well-being as oxygen is to our physical survival.

If your childhood circumstances caused you to be emotionally neglected, under-parented or simply not “seen” for the amazing person that you are, it is NOT too late.  Step back, hit the emotional pause button, and ask your self, “What am I feeling?” “What am I needing?” and “How am I responding to what I am hearing?”

As children, we develop a sense of self-worth by being shown that we are important enough to be listened to.  As adults, we can develop deficient self-worth in the same manner.

By beginning to listen to, validate and respond to yourself as an adult, you WILL   gradually cultivate the self-worth which has been missing from childhood… and soon self-esteem, self-acceptance and unconditional love will follow!

Loving yourself is not merely a psychological cliche, it’s a necessity!
